How do I handle monthly donors who have not given recently?

It is important that you find our very specifically the reason why they are not making their monthly gift. Here are a couple reasons: They simply forgot They have encountered financial problems They are facing personal issues And the list goes on The only way you will discover the true reason is to call them. My conversation would go something like this—I make it a point to keep careful records on my gifts and noticed for some reason our organization has not received your monthly gift. Maybe it got lost in the mail or our organization had a problem processing your gift. I just thought I would give you a call. This will very quickly get a response from them and you should be able to move forward.
